Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977

Reason why it should be put on the Bonfire

Prevents personal injury liability disclaimers from being legally binding. This act subverts contracts between private individuals. It is not the place of the state to determine what is or is not 'fair' in a contract to which they are not a party. All signatories to any contract must take responsibility for their acts and fulfil their contractual obligations.
